Get the Pinterest look: Luxurious Bathroom

Does anyone else walk into a beautifully designed hotel bathroom or come across an image on Pinterest and just become immediately obsessed with it? I certainly do, and can’t help but instantly start scheming how I could recreate the look even if it’s just by taking inspiration from one small element of the design. So for this post, I thought I would show you how to recreate an entire bathroom look that many of us are lusting after right now but without breaking the bank. It’s bold, luxurious and decadent, and in my eyes, the perfect combination of materials for those in search of something a little different, so, without further ado.

TILES

Without a doubt, the dark green tiles within this bathroom steal the show! Glossy Zellige tiles are teamed up with a slab of polished marble to produce the perfect backdrop for a dramatic bathroom. This clever combination plays with the light to create an even more interesting design. On the floor is yet another pattern, our beloved terrazzo which has completely dominated the bathroom design market recently, notice the chips in this particular one are different hues of green to tie the colour scheme together.

BASIN

Incorporating a thin freestanding basin is key here, as that is what gives the space its sleek and elegant look. The thin black metal frame with exposed bottle trap is minimal and classy, so if you are thinking of using something like this make sure you consider where else you can store your lotions and potions as there is no space under this kind of unit to do so. Opt for a matt stone resin basin if you can, it exudes luxury and the finish is just incredible, Lusso have some fantastic options here for you to choose from.

Fittings

Perhaps the more technical part but this part is really important! It’s easy to just consider the taps but don’t forget to also think about the basins waste fitting and bottle trap too, especially in this instance when the latter is so exposed and a key part of the design. By considering small elements like this you are guaranteed to create an overall atmosphere that exudes luxury and finesse. Plus there’s nothing better than all of these fittings matching in perfect harmony, especially when you are obsessed with the small details like I am!

Accessories

The finishing touches are arguably the most fun to put together! Opt for a ceiling-mounted mirror that is offset from the tiles behind or if that isn’t a priority a simple thin black framed one with rounded edges to soften it. Light the space with a brushed brass circular fitting and porcelain bulb for a delicate and refined look, and finish the space with a luxurious hand wash and balm to really set the tone. Finally, style with some of the most beautiful beauty products and hey presto, you just got yourself one seriously luxury bathroom!
